What do you do when everything’s not okay?

When you feel overwhelmed by everything around you, and everyone around you is a little happier than you. That feeling has to be the worst. Instead of deciding to dwell in that feeling, I’ve decided to write about it. It gives me gratitude to help at least one person. What good is it to have the ability to help someone, but decide not to help at all? Everyone has issues. Problems are a burden, big or small. Right now, it feels like I have a list of things that are not going right for me. I’m being drained physically and mentally! I can go on about things not being fair. The worst part is not being able to change a single thing. I literally sat in silence and I remembered that I can change how things are going. It’s true that somethings are unchangeable, but it’s how you look at these problems that determines your happiness. Believe it or not, you can create your own happiness. Isn’t it better to sit and plan for all the positive things you want in your life? Doesn’t it feel great to look forward to a fun and exciting future? Imagine if I told you that great things are coming in Your Life! Guess what… good things are coming. Just wait on it! So the first thing to do is to sit in silence. Just silence. Then once you have found your peace, you are in a position to plan for an eventful life. Next, get a small notepad or better yet, pull out the note section on your phone. Now, picture what you want in your life, and write that down. That’s your first task. Get a good list on what you want. For example, if you want to be more outgoing, plan small trips. You don’t have to leave the country, but if you have the means… go for it. I also realized that always saying “NO” to everything hinders the way your life can change. I’m not saying that you should go against your conscious, but stop staying home all the time. But let’s say you can’t leave your home. In that scenario, I have found that changing furniture around and redecorating changes my mood. Or, you can decide to do a complete lifestyle change. This could be creating new patterns and routines, or finding ways to advance your career. (You see where I’m going with this?) In a nutshell, you should focus on yourself and your happiness, even if it means cutting a few people out of your life. I hope I have inspired at least one person to change, and get a better view on life. Enjoy life,you only have one 🙂

It seems like our generation has been consumed with tweets and statuses rather than their own personal goals and ambitions. These days, its so easy to be involved with other peoples lives rather than our own. We need to wake up and focus on ourselves rather than the next fashion trend. Focus on yourself, because the person you’re idolizing is busy focusing on themselves and could care less about you. The question is, are you M.I.A?
